I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former twice world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
